General Questions
Well, I havent played GW since the second "chapter"/expansion...
I was curious, the game is still free to play, correct? Secondly, I'm not quite sure where my copy is ><;; Sadly it may be in Northern California... So the question relating to that is, with this new expansion ("Eye of the North"), do I need to buy the first expansions first, or can I just buy the EotN expansion and have everything? Thank you. |

1. Still free to play
2. Just download the content off guildwars.com 3. Each chapter and the expansion must be purchased seperately. |

If you had the 2nd installment - Factions then just download the GW client off the GW website, that will dl all game content, then all you need to do is enter in your emial and password you used when you played the game. You can then buy GWEN and add on that key. dont forget you need a lvl 20 toon to play GWEN

Well, I know I have the original, as well as Factions. However...their current whereabouts are unknown to me. >_>
If I don't have the games, can I just go out and buy GWEN by itself, or do I need to by the original and Factions again? TY |

If you know your username (email?) and password, you don't need to buy the games again. Simply buy GWEN and add the key to your existing account.
EDIT: to be more clear. You don't need the CDs that you have lost/misplaced. You just download all the game data again. |

But... all 3 of my answers still apply. Each chapter is a seperate cost. There is no bundle pack with all the chapters in it. |

Also I believe from looking at the GWEN disc I purchased the gw.dat file is 3.55 GB so in theory if you bought the expansion pack it would install all of the games but based on your Logon ID you would only have access to GWEN and Factions. Is this a correct assumption?

prophecies, factions and nightfall are 3 different chapters which can be played as a stand alone game. However u need at least one of them to play GW:EN, you cant just buy GW:EN, and play it like it was with the 3 last campaigns, this is a true expansion.
